Lifelong Learning Accounts (LiLAs)

Building a better life with a good career is the American Dream.  But to take that next step, you have to be prepared.  Lifelong Learning Accounts, or LiLAs can help you get the training you need for the job you want.  Like a 401k account, you and your employer both contribute to a fund that you can then use to pay for education and training leading to career advancement.   The combined contributions can be used for education, training and other career-related expenses, such as books, exam fees and professional equipment.

Right now, we're offering LiLAs to employees at 4 Bay Area employers: City College of San Francisco, UCSF Medical Center, On Lok  Lifeways and Telecare Corporation.

If you are a current LiLA participant looking to get reimbursed for your training expenses, read our step-by-step guide, and download Form D or Form E to make your claim.
For more information, or to get your employer connected with the LiLA program, contact Amabella Camins, or call 415-782-6253.

LiLAs were developed by the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL). The LILA Program is funded by Atlantic Philanthropies.
