Our Refugee Resettlement Services serve recently arrived refugees, mainly from the former Soviet Union (FSU) and Bosnia. JVS serves clients in San Francisco, San Mateo, and northern Santa Clara counties. Clients who live on the peninsula are served out of JVS' office in Los Altos. The goal of the program is to provide services that enable clients to gain employment as quickly as possible. This includes assessing their skills as they pertain to the local job market and assisting them in setting and reaching appropriate employment objectives within one year of arrival to the United States. |
