  • Job Bank USA: contains job listings, online resume and recruitment services, and newsgroup information.
  • America's Job Bank: is a huge database of jobs searchable by industry, job title code, and keywords. You'll also find occupational and wage trends.
  • Monster.com: contains thousands of up-to-date job listings, a job search agent to conduct daily searches based on your criteria, an international section, a resume builder, and events listings. This site is particularly user-friendly.
  • Wall Street Journal's career site: provide great career information as well as job listings with geographical, industry, company, and job function search capabilities.
  • Best Job USA: is an excellent online career resource center that includes job listings, salary surveys, articles, and resume posting.
  • FlipDog.com: delivers the Internet's largest job collection all direct from the source employer Web sites.

  • Craigslist: Listing of jobs advertised by employers in the Bay Area
  • Job Star
  • Job Hub: Is a listing of jobs through Bay Area recruiters.
  • CalJOBS
  • San Francisco Jobs: search bay Area jobs, have job e-mailed to you, search employers, and post your resume. It has a relatively small number of listings, but is worth checking out.
  • Jobs Career: has some good general company listings for a few specific industries, including medical/dental, management, hospitality, and part-time opportunities.
  • Simply Hired: Searches multiple Job sites.
  • Indeed : Searches multiple Job sites.
  • BayJobs : San Francisco Bay Area Job Listings and Employment Resources.

  • Adidas: Nationwide Retailer of Shoes and Sports Apparel. Currently hiring for Sales, Stockpersons and Assistant Managers.
  • Vans: Nationwide Retailer of Shoes. Very youth friendly and currently hiring for Salespersons.

  • Eco.org: provides great information on environmental careers as well as suggested job-specific sites.
  • Idealist.org: contains organizational information and job/internship opportunities within the non-profit arena.
  • Opportunity Nocs: job, internship, and volunteer opportunities based on your search criteria as well as links to other non-profit career sites.
  • Nonprofit Jobs: is dedicated entirely to non-profit job listings across the country. Search criteria include location, job skills, membership affiliation, and job title.
  • Non-Profit Times: a good number of listings, but no search criteria, making it somewhat difficult for a narrow search.
  • Nonprofit.org: provides good background information on non-profits.
  • Young Nonprofit Professionals Network: Professional development, networking and social opportunities designed for young people involved in the nonprofit community.
  • Chronicle of philanthropy: Newspaper of the nonprofit world.

  • The Beehive: This site's Career Coach can help you learn more about careers, choose the right career, and create a step-by-step plan to reach your goals.
  • Wet Feet: a fantastic resource for career and industry research, including chat rooms, resume critiques, and recruiter information.
  • Salary Negotiations and Raise Negotiations: covers all aspects of negotiating compensation: wages, benefits, bonuses, raises, and perks. Includes: salary surveys, pay comparisons, telecoaching, handling salary in job interviews and job search.   • Review.com: is a great site for salary negotiation, particularly for those who have had less experience in this area.
  • Job-Interview: is a comprehensive guide to the interview process. Both job seekers and employers will benefit from this site's information.
  • Experience Network: is a nationwide membership organization for young professionals who are in the process of launching their careers. It includes company profiles, a chat area, and more.
  • CareerVoyages: the site includes: occupations that are growing fastest; career ladders within high-growth industries; detailed occupational reports including wages, growth rates, and licensing requirements; specialized resources for youth, career changers, adults, and career advisors.
  • SusanIreland.com: incorporates the fine points of interviewing, resumes, and cover letter writing.
