BEST Pro -
Professional Development for Employment Services Providers
BEST Pro provides professional development seminars for Employment Specialists and other employment services providers to help them improve their services to job-seekers and employers. JVS has offered this training for more than seven years.
Why participate?
Join BEST Pro if you want to improve your effectiveness in:
- Providing job search assistance to people with barriers to employment
- Working with employers to develop productive hiring relationships
- Working with participants to address their employment
Who can join?
- Only those currently working as employment services providers may participate.
- Space is limited, with priority for employees of San Francisco-based agencies.
Where and when?
- Seminars are offered in four-session series, repeated twice per year.
- Participants are expected to attend all sessions in a series.
- Seminars are offered during regular work hours at a San Francisco location TBD.
- Sessions begin 8/29; see the BEST Pro Calendar for specific dates/times.
What does it cost?
BEST Pro is funded by the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Community Development (MOCD) and University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). BESTPro is offered at no cost to participants or their agencies.
