Rachael Brown – Vice President, Development

Rachael oversees resource development and marketing operations at JVS. She has 10 years of development experience raising resources for education, human services and international humanitarian organizations. Most recently, she was Director of Development at CARE USA, where she managed relationships with supporters in the western region of the United States. Previously, she managed the annual and corporate giving programs at Shelter Network, a Bay Area homeless services organization. Rachael holds a master’s degree in Political Economy and Public Policy and bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis.

lisa-countryman-2Lisa Countryman – Vice President, Grants and Program Development

Lisa has over 10 years of experience developing successful public and private grant proposals, managing strategic partner relationships and working closely with program staff to develop programs that achieve significant social impact. Prior to JVS, Lisa worked at the St. Anthony Foundation in the Tenderloin securing grants to support the organization’s Free Medical Clinic Operations. Lisa received her her master’s degree in Comparative Literature from SUNY Buffalo and her bachelor’s degree in German and Classics from Loyola University Chicago.

kathryn-beeley-1Kathryn Beeley – Vice President, Finance

Kathryn oversees finance, compliance, and information technology at JVS. She is dedicated to using her financial knowledge and technical skills to create systems and tools to strengthen the capacity of nonprofits and to providing the support program staff need to fulfill the organization’s mission. Her prior experience includes working as an auditor for a California-based public accounting firm that specializes in nonprofits. She also provided over 10 years of accounting services for over 50 Bay Area businesses and nonprofits. Kathryn is a licensed CPA and holds a master’s degree in Accountancy and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies.
