Paid Student Internships

Kohn Mentor Program
The summer of 2010 marks the 25th year of the Kohn Summer Intern Program and the second year of the Kohn Mentor Program. We encourage Kohn alumni from previous summers to apply to be a mentor to a 2010 Kohn Summer Intern. This is an opportunity to give back to the Kohn Program by enhancing a current participant's experience as well as adding something valuable to your life experience.

Who is an ideal mentor?
YOU! Anyone can be a mentor to a Kohn Intern as long as you are a Kohn alumnus/a. Whether you had a great Kohn experience or one that was just "okay" you could be a terrific mentor!

What are the responsibilities of a Mentor?
  1. Make one introductory phone call to your mentee to introduce yourself.
  2. Provide online support to your mentee from the time he/she is accepted to the program through graduation.
  3. Attend a luncheon during the program where you will talk to your mentee 1:1, if you are in the area.
  4. Check in with your mentee periodically throughout the summer.
  5. Attend the Culmination Luncheon on Friday, August 13, 2010, if you are in the area.
What are the dates for the 2010 cohort?
The Kohn program begins with an Intern Retreat on Friday, June 18, 2010, and ends with Culmination Luncheon on Friday, August 13, 2010.

To apply, just fill out and submit the application form by April 1, 2010.  Once we receive your application a Kohn Staff person will contact you to discuss further details.
