Legal Employment Action Program (LEAP)

If you’re interested in working in the legal field, the Legal Employment Action Program (LEAP) is the right place for you to get started. LEAP will give you all the training you need to find an entry-level position in the legal field. Once you finish the program, we'll place you into a part-time paid internship. Once the internship is over, most LEAP graduates are hired into full-time jobs in the legal field!

LEAP offers training in:
  • computer skills
  • clerical keyboarding
  • business etiquette and communication
  • legal terminology
  • legal ethics
  • teamwork and conflict resolution
  • preparation for the unique demands of the legal environment
This program is available to anyone with a high school diploma or GED who is receiving CalWORKs or PAES in San Francisco, and is eligible for WIA funds in San Francisco.  To apply, you must be proficient in English, clean and sober at least one year, and 18 or older.

To find out when our next LEAP cycle will be starting, contact Gary Goodson, or call 415-782-6203.
LEAP is funded by the San Francisco Foundation and the San Francisco Department of Human Services.  The program is offered in partnership with the Bar Association of San Francisco, the San Francisco District Attorney's office, urban university, La Casa de las Madres, Mary Elizabeth Inn, and the San Francisco Human Services Agency.
