JVS Training

Psychiatric Nursing Program

If you are a foreign-trained nurse interested in taking the NCLEX-RN exam, JVS, in collaboration with Chabot College, now offers a specialty Psychiatric Nursing Program package to help you get the coursework you need to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam.

Our program offers:
  • The opportunity to enroll in classes usually offered only to Chabot Nursing students
  • One-on-one coaching and support from the day you sign up to the day you take the NCLEX-RN, and beyond!
  • 4 units of psychiatric nursing course credit (didactic, clinical, and skills lab hours), and 36 Continuing Education Units for LVN and CNA students
This program is available to all nurses who have verification of RN Nursing licensure from abroad, a letter from the Board of Registered Nursing identifying coursework needed for NCLEX-RN exam eligibility, and proof of authorization to work in U.S. ESL level of high to advanced.

Course prep work begins in September, and culminates in an 18-hour/week class running from January through May.  This year's class is already in session, and we are no longer accepting applications.

For more information, contact Annie Nogg, or call at 415-782-6233.
This program is a part of the  Immigrant Nurse Re-entry Program (INRP), which is funded by the Bay Area Workforce Funding Collaborative, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, David B.
