JVS Youth Programs

Take your next steps with JVS!  For over 15 years, JVS has been helping youth with disabilities find fulfilling work, experience success, and believe in their own positive futures. If you are living in foster care, experiencing mental health concerns, coming out of  the juvenile justice system, or struggling with emotional, physical, or learning disabilities, JVS can help.

Every year, we partner with over 25 San Francisco schools and community organizations to reach more than 700 young people aged 14-24.  We help hundreds of young people like you build your skills, gain experience at paid internships, get into college, and  find competitive employment.

Through our series of youth programs, JVS provides six essential services.
  • Job Skills Classes: We work in high schools all over San Francisco to teach you how to find a job, and what to do once you get one.
  • Paid Internships: We can find you an internship with real responsibilities – and a real paycheck.
  • Job Placement: We help you find – and keep – your first paying job.
  • Higher Education: We guide you through college applications and financial aid, to make sure you get the most out of your education.
  • Transition Programs: We work with you as you are exiting high school and getting ready for the adult world.
  • Computer Skills: We teach the programs you need to know to create a great-looking resume, find a place to work, and use on the job.
JVS Youth Programs are available to San Francisco youth with disabilities ages 14-24.
