If you are a young person with
a disability, JVS is committed to
helping you
find fulfilling work, experience success, and believe in
your own positive future. As a part of this
commitment, JVS offers paid internships, working with you to make sure
your first experiences with work are
healthy and positive. Every year, we place hundreds of young people like you into internships throughout the city. Many of our students get their first internship experience through our Job Skills classes, which are taught in over 20 San Francisco high schools every year. JVS partners with the San Francisco Unified School District to offer both school year and summer internships as a part of the WorkAbility program. JVS also works with the citywide Mayor's Youth Employment and Education Program (MYEEP), and its sister program the New Directions Employment Program (NDEP), which focuses on youth involved in the Juvenile Justice system. All of our internship programs can help you gain exposure to the workplace, learn job skills, build your resume and explore your career interests. |
