Jewish Vocational Service in San Francisco respects and is committed to protecting your privacy. That’s why we want you to know how we treat your personal information and the opt-out options we offer.
JVS in San Francisco will not sell, trade or share a donor’s personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. We will only share personal information once the donor has given JVS in San Francisco specific permission to do so.
You may ask us to remove your name(s) and contact information from mailing or emailing distribution. If requested, we will remove your name from all our correspondence, and we will make every effort to protect your privacy. At any time, if you wish to no longer receive correspondence via email or U.S. mail, please contact us with your request via email@example.com and your information will be removed.
When you send us email, complete a form, make a donation from this website or send us correspondence in the U.S. mail, you provide us with certain personally identifiable information including your email and mailing address. JVS collects and uses donor information, such as name, address, phone number and email address, when a donor voluntarily provides it to us and is used only to correctly process a gift or pledge, keep donors up to date on the work of the agency and request future donations.
JVS has measures in place to protect your personal information. Our secure server protects your information using firewall and encryption technology. Your credit card number is not captured on the JVS website when you make a gift online. Instead, the credit card number is processed through a Stripe payment gateway that uses 128-bit advanced SSL (Secure Sockets Layers) encryption. Furthermore, we do not store your credit card number in our database.
Donor names are routinely published in lists to recognize donor support. We respect anonymity, however, and honor requests not to be listed as a JVS donor.
JVS views donors as valued community partners, and we take seriously each recommendation as to how we might improve communication. Should you have other questions or concerns about these privacy policies, please call our Development Department at (415) 391-3600.
