High School Bridge Programs Manager

Summary of Position:

The High School and Bridge (HSB) Programs Manager provides leadership to HSB department’s school-based programs with an emphasis on providing high quality services to students with disabilities.

PROGRAM:

Work Resource Program and related initiatives

Principal Relationships

  • Reports to: Director, HSB
  • Collaborates with: internal staff, employers, public agencies, schools and community partners
  • Supervises: three coordinators

PRINCIPAL/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Program Management

  • Implementation of Work Resource Program
  • Directly supervise and manage HSB program staff; responsible for recruitment, onboarding and continuous development of staff
  • Manage the program’s data collection, integrity and funder compliance
  • Analyze data and trends, prepare internal reports, and program reporting for funding sources
  • Participate in the development and the management of the program’s budget

Community Partnerships

  • Responsible for cultivating strong relationships with government agencies, employers, education and training providers, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders
  • Participate in the cultivation of program funding sources
  • Responsible for managing contracts with multiple funders

Strategic Planning

  • Support the strategic and annual planning for the HSB Department
  • Responsible for planning new programs, including designing, implementing, performance monitoring and evaluating
  • Participate in agency-wide strategic and operational planning and overall agency administration

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

  • This position will be working in a typical office setting, with no extremes in temperature or lighting
  • Able to travel and present at offsite locations in the Bay Area
  • Able to transport/carry presentation materials

Scope

  • Manage HSB programs to meet performance goals and contract objectives
  • Strengthen and expand pilot IEP/ITP transition planning support services
  • Launch CA Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Student Paid Work Experience (SPWE) as fee for service model to support youth with disabilities
  • Drive HSB department wide interventions to support students with disabilities
  • Partner with employers and educational institutions
  • Provide guidance and supervision to direct reports
  • Contribute to program development

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Drives to Outcomes using Resources and Data
  • Ability to balance operational details with conceptual planning
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment; Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, relational databases, internet research)
  • Experience in leading teams to implement projects
  • Experience in program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
  • Experience engaging employers and creating work-based learning opportunities for youth
  • Developing strong partnerships with academic instructions, CBOs and other stakeholders
  • Experience with recruitment, onboarding, supervision, performance management, and staff retention
  • Experience operationalizing youth development principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in youth workforce development
  • Experience working with San Francisco Unified School District, Special Education Services
  • Familiarity with transition planning processes for students with disabilities
  • Expertise in contract management
  • Experience using Salesforce.com
