Founded in 1974, Richmond Area Multi-Services, Inc. (RAMS) is a private, non-profit comprehensive mental health agency that is committed to providing community-based, culturally competent, and consumer-driven services that meet the behavioral health, social, vocational, and educational needs of the diverse community of the San Francisco Area. RAMS is recognized by the local and national social service community as having expertise in providing culturally competent mental health services to the underserved, with expertise in working with the Asian & Pacific Islander and Russian-speaking populations. The agency has received numerous awards for culturally competent service delivery, clinical training, employment of people with disability, and community leadership. Annually, RAMS provides services in over 30 languages to over 17,000 adults/older adults, children, and their families by offering over 30 programs with varying levels of care aimed to meet the diverse needs of our client population.

Essential Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee Information Technology (IT) department and supervise staff
  • Support and maintain agency website, network infrastructure, operating systems, information systems (e.g. VPN, electronic health record), data storage systems
  • Ensure systems integrity (data transmission, storage, disaster recovery) and security
  • Manage/maintain database systems; generate reports
  • Coordinate data processing and billing & information system procedures, i.e. data collection, processing, reporting, and problem solving
  • Serve as RAMS’ primary liaison with SF Department of Public Health for the electronic health record system
  • Provide end-user assistance, including desktop and electronic health record system support; travel to other San Francisco program sites (as needed)
  • Maintain and monitor IT policies and procedures
  • Coordinate computer hardware & software and equipment acquisition, installation, and maintenance; maintain hardware/software inventory
  • Research and recommend appropriate technology to management and end-users
  • Stay abreast of technology trends, changes, and updates
  • Provide information systems (electronic health record) and technology training, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited institution; equivalent knowledge & experience may be considered/substituted for education
  • Two + years of supervisory and/or administrative project management experience, including planning & operations
  • Five + years of IT systems experience (e.g. desktop hardware/software operating systems, firewall, network, database management), Microsoft applications and software, and data collection processes & reporting

Other Requirements:

  • Exceptional organizational skills & ability to multi-task, learn quickly, and integrate efficiently
  • Reliability and consistency in work performance with a high level of accuracy and flexibility; strong analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, verbal, and written skills
  • Ability to work effectively, function independently, and interact professionally with a diverse, multi-cultural, and interdisciplinary staff at all levels
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, both internally and externally, regarding all agency data and information encountered while performing this position
  • Prior work experience in a health care and/or non-profit setting, highly preferred
  • Knowledge of health care regulations and standards (HIPAA), preferred
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce with two + years of experience in customization and administration, highly preferred
  • Strong commitment to the RAMS’ mission of providing culturally competent mental/behavioral healthcare services in a community setting
